Step Two: Your Schedule

One-Time or Recurring, Your Call

Recurring visits keep a home from ever getting back to square one, which usually means shorter visits over time. There is no long-term commitment, so you can change or pause your schedule.

Weekly

Best for busy households, families with young kids, pets, or anyone who wants the house consistently guest-ready.

Most Popular

Bi-Weekly

The most common choice. Frequent enough to stay ahead of buildup without cleaning between visits yourself.

Monthly

A solid reset for smaller homes, tidy households, or anyone handling day-to-day upkeep on their own.

One-Time

Before guests arrive, after a party, ahead of a move, or when you just want a full reset with no commitment. Need it fast? See same-day cleaning.

Not sure which fits? Read our guide on weekly versus bi-weekly cleaning.

How It Works

Booking Takes About Five Minutes

1

Tell Us About Your Home

Share your address, square footage, number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and anything that needs extra attention. Do it online or over the phone, whichever you prefer.

2

We Confirm Your Quote

We review your request and send a quote by email along with your booking details. A small deposit holds the appointment and is applied to the total.

3

Your Team Arrives

Uniformed, background-checked cleaners arrive with professional supplies, or use yours if you prefer. We finish with a walkthrough and checklist review.

We Know What These Houses Need

Homes here come with their own quirks. Hardwood that predates the war, vintage tile, narrow stairwells, radiators that collect dust all winter, and six months of road salt. Our process accounts for all of it.

Get Your Quote

Road salt and entryways. Winter tracking gets treated as its own task, not an afterthought.

Older surfaces. Vintage tile, original hardwood, and plaster get products chosen for them.

Radiators and vents. The dust traps most cleaning services walk past.

Walk-ups and tight stairwells. We bring equipment sized for the building.

Parking restrictions. We plan around permit zones and street cleaning schedules.

Who You Are Hiring

Locally Owned, Right on Richmond Street

Evanston Cleaning Company is owned and operated by Patrick Chism, right here in Evanston. We are not a franchise and not a booking platform that hands your address to whoever is available. When you call, you reach the same small office that schedules your visit.

Every cleaner who enters your home is background-checked and trained on the same room-by-room process, so our quality and care are consistent with every clean.

Letting someone into your home is a real decision, and I don’t take it lightly. I live here. My kids are here. I hire people I’d want in my own house. – Patrick Chism, Owner

Questions

House Cleaning Services FAQs

What affects the cost of a house cleaning?

Square footage, the number of bedrooms and bathrooms, and the current condition of the home are the biggest factors. Frequency matters too, since recurring visits generally take less time than a first clean. Add-ons like inside the oven, interior windows, or pet hair removal are priced separately. Tell us about your home and we will send a quote before anything is booked.

Do I need to be home during the cleaning?

No. Many clients give us access instructions instead. As long as we can get in with a code or key, you do not need to be there. If you want to learn more about setting that up, read our guide on what to do before the cleaners arrive.

What is included in a standard cleaning?

Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, kitchen and bathroom cleaning, bed making, trash removal, and general tidying. Add-ons are available for refrigerators, ovens, blinds, deep cleaning, and pets. If you have a specific request, mention it at booking.

What is the difference between a house cleaning service and a maid service?

In practice, very little. People search for house cleaning, home cleaning, housekeeping, and maid service to describe the same work, and we handle all of it. Whichever term you use, you are getting the same trained, background-checked team and the same room-by-room process.

How far in advance should I book?

Three to five days ahead is a good target for getting your preferred date and time. If you need something sooner, call us and we will tell you what is open.

Do I need to provide supplies or equipment?

No. We bring professional-grade products and equipment. If you would rather we use your own products, just let us know at booking.

What payment methods do you accept?

All major credit cards, debit cards, electronic payments, and checks. We collect a deposit once your booking is confirmed, which is applied to the total. The deposit is invoiced by email after we review your request.

Is your team insured?

Yes. Our team is fully insured, and every cleaner is background-checked before working in a client home.
